CLEARING AND forwarding specialists ZA Trans celebrated the official opening of their new warehouse and office complex in Isando with fanfare last week.
The 1000 square metres of warehousing and 750 square metres of office space brings together the company's air, sea and export operations under one roof.
It's all part of our drive to provide supply chain management solutions in an industry which is increasingly moving towards total logistics, m.d. Warren Erfmann told FTW.
We are now in a position to deconsolidate cargo and distribute wherever it's needed.
ZA Trans, which was established five years ago as a 3-man operation, has grown to a staff of 63 with a network of offices in Durban and Cape Town.
As part of its expansion drive, the company recently took over the staff of French Mauritian company Rogers IDS. Erfmann stressed that the takeover did not involve the purchase of the company, but rather the integration of its staff into the ZA Trans network.
