Barry Middleton dies tragically

BARRY MIDDLETON, Renfreight Circle MD, was shot dead when attacked by armed burglars at his Rhenosterspruit home in the Muldersdrif district last Friday night.
One of the most respected leaders in the freight industry, he had been a major figure in the amalgamation of Renfreight and Circle International last year.
Affable and unassuming, his ready charm and approachable manner earned him the reputation of Mr Nice Guy.
Middleton (45) and his wife, Sandy, were confronted by the burglars when they returned home at 11pm. She was treated at a local hospital and discharged.
The attackers fled in the couple's green Nissan Patrol.
During the interim period the company will be managed by the directors and executive team, under the guidance of Piet Steyn chairman of Renfreight Circle.
At the time of going to press funeral details had not been finalised but the funeral was expected to be held at the end of this week.
