Z.A. TRANS Logistics is on
an expansion trail.
Having moved into new and bigger custom-designed warehouse and office facilities in Cape Town this year, the Durban office relocated to larger premises in September, and a move to new premises in Johannesburg is scheduled for this month.
“The company is flying,” says managing director, Warren Erfmann.
“In Cape Town we now offer 500 square metres of warehousing space, in Durban 300 square metres, and in Johannesburg the new logistics centre will provide 10 000 square metres of warehousing and 1600 square metres of office space.”
The staff complement has increased to over 100 in order to accommodate the substantial increase in new business.
Also notable, said Erfmann, is the appointment of key staff at the various Z.A. Trans offices nationally. Candice Thomas has recently joined as sales manager in Johannesburg, while Guntram Herles has been appointed branch manager in Cape Town. Roy Ishripersadh has been promoted to branch manager in Durban where further senior appointments will be announced in the New Year.
A major area of focus for the company is Africa and an Africa Desk, manned by specialists in the field, has been established to develop the region. “We have an excellent network of agents in Africa, which we have always seen as a huge growth area,” said Erfmann.
“We now have the right infrastructure and can serve most destinations including Nigeria, DRC, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Ghana, Angola and many more.”
