THE DEPARTMENT of Trade and Industry has undertaken a country-wide series of workshops to outline the criteria and standards required by Black Economic Empowerment verification agencies. The South African National Accreditation System (SANAS) and ABVA (Association of BEE Verification Agencies) were also involved in the workshops which targeted existing and prospective agencies. They kicked off in the Northern Cape last week and will end in Mpumalanga on October 11.
