APPROACHING ITS fourth birthday and growing rapidly, Advanced Customs Solutions has made significant progress with its web-based tracking system, designed for air, sea or road transport.
It will considerably raise the bar in terms of industry norms, says MD CJ Pagel, “providing our clients with the benefit of the integration between our freight system and the web site.”
A number of new contracts are currently being negotiated, he told FTW.
The product has several benefits, he added, allowing clients to e-mail the likes of airwaybills and pre-advices to their clients.
“We believe that small things like this make the difference in service levels,” says support manager Ben Lowe.
“Supporting remote sites via a dial-up connection saves everyone involved time and money. We have also just completed our integrated bonded warehouse / free store facility which is proving very reliable in the industry.”
Another successful feature, according to Lowe, is ‘Wisepages’, which enables clients to write their own reports or design their own documents which they can generate from the system. Stability, both within the company and the product, has been the key over the past two years, says director Paul Ramdaloo.
