Vehicle exports record varied performance

THE LATEST vehicle export figures from the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of SA (Naamsa) show that light commercial vehicles (LCVs) again performed well, with 5 860 units exported in August compared to 5 062 in July. This brought the year-todate (YTD) total up to 43 662 units, up on the 33 834 in the same period last year. Medium commercial vehicles (MCVs), meantime, are low on the export list, with a total of 7 units exported in August – the same number as July. YTD the total is 65 compared to 55 last year.
