US businesses seek stronger trade ties in Africa

Over 100 United States (US) businesses are in Johannesburg from today until Friday as part of the US Commercial Service Trade Winds Africa Business Development Conference and Trade Mission.

The 2015 Trade Winds programme, hosted in South Africa, offers US companies the opportunity to explore eight markets in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The programme includes an Africa-focused business forum, consisting of regional and industry specific conference sessions, as well as pre-arranged consultations with US senior government diplomats representing commercial markets from 19 African countries.
