UNISHIPPING LINE vessels will call at Walvis Bay in future en route from Durban to the United States when export cargo from Namibia is available, a spokesman for agents Bolton Maritime told FTW this week.
This follows the announcement that M/V Lia, scheduled to sail from Durban between June 4-6, will now call at Walvis Bay to collect a copper shipment and is expected to sail from that port between June 10-14.
The monthly sailings call at the US ports of Savannah, Vera Cruz and Houston with Tampico included on occasions. Bookings from Durban to Walvis Bay are accepted when cargo space is available.
