Two Oceans takes export market by storm

Ray Smuts DISTELL’S TWO Oceans has hit export markets with the same dynamic energy as the colliding of the Indian and Atlantic oceans off the Cape. Positioned in late 2001 as one of Distell’s key global wine brands, it has exceeded all expectations on both export and domestic sales. In the UK, traditionally the Cape’s biggest market, sales increased by 67%. In Canada, another well-established market where Two Oceans is the top-selling South African wine, volumes rocketed by 109%. Such dramatic growth notwithstanding, Distell’s new global marketer, Peter Hafner, is confident the potential for this easy-drinking, good-value, brand has yet to be fully unlocked.
