It was a Transport Forum with a difference when delegates at the monthly event were treated to a ride through the Gerotek testing facilities in Elandsfontein on heavy duty Samils last week. The hour-long drive over extremely rough terrain gave delegates the opportunity to engage in an informal environment and experience transport from another angle. Organiser Harry van Huyssteen saw it as a combined networking and information session – and what better way to network and bond than going down a hill with a gradient of 30 degrees on the back of a truck! The delegates had the opportunity to see trainers at the Gerotek testing facility at work on the water skid pad as well as taking a drive along the high-speed racetrack.
