MULTOTEC, winner of the
Large Manufacturing category
at last week’s Gauteng
Exporter of the Year awards,
triumphed as overall winner on
the day.
The Multotec group
of companies is behind
the design, manufacture,
and marketing of a broad
spectrum of mineral
processing equipment used
in the mining, mineral
beneficiation and petrochemical
industries in 57
countries around the world.
The award in the Emerging
Exporter C ategory went to
Patience Vision of African Art, a
small artworks company that
produces sculptures.
Nationwide Airlines took
home the Export Services
award, while the winner in
the Small Manufacturing
category went to W avetrend
Technologies which
specialises in the deployment
of active Radio Frequency
Identification solutions.
The team behind the
design and construction of
blast and bullet resistant
vehicle conversions, Armour
Systems and Projects,
walked away with the
Innovation Award.
Launched in 2001, the
awards are designed to
showcase the international
achievements of local
companies which have
won orders against fierce
competition in markets where
there are often long-standing
relationships with traditional
suppliers, according to event
hosts the Johannesburg
Chamber of Commerce and
Industry.
