#ThankYouTrucker finalist ‘always defies the odds’

As South Africa staggers from one scene of horrific violence to another, with looters seeming to have free licence to ransack warehouses and stores at will, it’s fitting to reflect on the people who will have to work overtime to restore supply-chain deliveries once the unrest is quelled – truck drivers.

In this second profile post of the five finalists in the Iveco SA and the Road Freight Industry (RFA) #ThankYouTrucker competition, we feature Audrey Cheloane of the Zosi Group in Gauteng.

This is what Audrey’s nominator had to say about her: “In an industry dominated by men, Audrey has always had her ways of standing out.

“This ranges from her exceptional driving skills as a superlink truck driver, her random acts of kindness to those in need, and finally her four year-long clear track record.

“She never stops defying the odds, she never gives up!”

The other finalists are: Chris Smit of DRK Logistics in Gauteng, Matthew Moonsamy of Imperial Contract Logistics in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), Nimrod Maseko of Mphanga Logistics in Mphumalanga, and Ayanda Mvelase of Crossroads Distribution, also in KZN, whose profile was posted yesterday (Read this: https://tinyurl.com/8a7nmfcf).
