Swisscargo looks at time-definite options

SWISSCARGO is considering the introduction of a new time-definite service in April, according to the Schednet Internet news service.
If the plan goes ahead, the service will be launched at the same time as a partnership scheme with various forwarders, similar to that of Lufthansa Cargo.
Lufthansa introduced a triple-tier partnership with 10 forwarders last June.
Swisscargo, meanwhile, says it is looking into the partnership possibility to allow for more efficient and integrated operations with shippers as forwarders concentrate their activities with less carriers.
