Strong business acumen and vision

Sue Moodley, MD of Transport.com, is one of the young guns of the freight industry in Durban. She established the company in May 2004, and, with the strong business acumen and vision for which she is known, she secured a number of valuable transport contracts – and saw the company quickly grow from its one-woman/ one-ton bakkie start to a fleet of 30 horses and 65 trailers. The core business of the operation she developed is handling and moving any type of containerised cargo moving through Africa’s busiest port of Durban. “We recognise that an end-to-end supply chain solution is one that reduces costs whilst improving client service and providing visibility throughout the entire logistics service.
