ANOTHER SENIOR Spoornet official has been suspended from his job, bringing to six the number of executives who have faced similar fates this year. Thomas Mabece, senior manager in the asset protection services, was suspended on September 27. The reasons for the suspension have been described by Spoornet as 'internal'. A hearing is pending. It is understood, however, that it involves the awarding of tenders without the correct procedures having been followed.
