A YEAR since the launch of its windows exports programme, ShipShape Software has followed up with a windows import module. “Complete with its own integrated invoicing and disbursements facility with profit/loss reporting, it makes light work of most clearing and forwarding operations,” says CEO Chrissie DuBarry. “With the facility to preview any document on screen before printing and to provide integrated emailing directly from ShipShape in the industry-standard Acrobat PDF format, keeping track of your documents in ShipShape is now easier than ever,” she told FTW. Recent developments on the EDI front include interfaces for imports, exports, CCA1 and SAD as well as seafreight manifests. Work is currently under way to accommodate the new National Ports Authority EDI initiative that will see cargo dues being sent electronically early this year. “The ShipShape systems are developed in close liaison with customers to ensure that they accommodate the client’s needs instead of the other way round,” says DuBarry. The company has had particular success in larger organisations integrating with in-house systems, she added. “Our on-line EDI tracking facility allows clients to view all EDI details and history in a user-friendly environment, accessible from anywhere in the world any time of the day. This facility will later be expanded to provide a full on-line shipment trace and trace option.”
