THE LATEST list of product categories which can enjoy duty-free access to the US market has been released to FTW by Deloitte & Touche international trade division.
This market is available to SA exporters of: Meat, milk and dairy products; various vegetable and agricultural products, nuts and fresh fruits; dried and preserved fruit; spices; durum wheat, barley, rice, wheat and cereal flours; ground nuts and oil seeds; fats and oils; processed foods, beverages and spirits; tobacco; mineral fuels; chemicals, dyes and pigments; essential oils; plastics; rubber products; articles of leather; articles of wood; footwear; ceramics; glass and glassware; iron and steel and articles thereof; aluminium; base metals; tools and implements; bearings, gears and gearing; colour televisions and parts; certain categories of motor vehicles and parts; clocks and watches; and pens.
D&T is also offering a search service to ascertain whether an exporter's products exactly qualify for duty free access - and to advise on the required entry procedures.
