A Strong rumour is percolating the marketplace that Safcor has just purchased the local operation of international forwarding major, Panalpina - but FTW has been unable to firm-up what is now common gossip.
Questioned on the matter, Safcor m.d. Philip Womersley was reticent about making an extended comment at this stage.
All I can tell you, he said, is - if it were to happen -
it would have benefits for both parties.
But I can't confirm or deny it at this time.
Womersley, however, promised further comment at a later stage.
