SOUTH AFRICAN Airways (SAA) has moved its United States stopover from Accra, Ghana to Dakar, Senegal effective May 1. The airline previously operated a four times a week flight between Johannesburg and Washington with a brief stop in Accra. This has now been replaced with Dakar, the airline’s most prominent West African hub. SAA will however continue operating direct flights between Johannesburg and Accra, Ghana. It will also operate flights from Johannesburg via Abidjan to Accra and not through Lagos as before.
