SOUTH AFRICAN Airways Cargo will add capacity between Johannesburg and London from October 27 when it introduces an additional daily flight on a Sunday. The carrier presently operates 20 flights a week on the route, but from October 27 this will be increased to 21, making it two a day from Johannesburg and once daily from Cape Town. The additional flight coincides with the height of the perishable season. By end October SAA will have 41 flights weekly to Europe, with seven to Frankfurt, seven on the combined Zurich/Paris service, and three each to Copenhagen and Milan. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will also introduce a further weekly flight on the Amsterdam/Johannesburg schedule from October 30, providing 11 flights a week on the route.
