South Africa was ranked as Africa’s most corrupt nation, followed by Ghana and Nigeria, according to the People and Corruption: Africa Survey 2015 report released by Transparency International yesterday (Tuesday).
Of the nearly 50 000 respondents surveyed across 28 sub-Saharan African countries, 58% said corruption had increased over the past 12 months.
The survey stated that citizens in Botswana, Burkina Faso, Lesotho and Senegal said that they felt that corruption was being addressed.
