SA to host Brics economic conference

DURBAN, October 28 (ANA) – Next month South Africa will, for the first time, host the 4th Brics International Competition Conference, the South African government announced on Wednesday.

The conference takes place every two years, rotating among the Brics’ competition authorities. The first conference was held in Russia, followed by China and India respectively.

The government said in line with this year’s conference theme, “Competition and Inclusive Growth”, delegates would also look at exploring ways of achieving inclusive economic growth through competition enforcement and sharing best practice and experiences among Brics countries.

The conference will take place in Durban from November 12 to 13 at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Convention Centre.
