Vietnam's exports to major African markets recorded high growth over the past five months of this year with South Africa remaining Vietnam's largest import market, importing US$439 million worth of goods during this period.
Daily news site, Vietnam Economic News, reported that this was a 39% increase in export revenue from SA compared to the same period last year.
Products imported from Vietnam to SA included mobile phones and components, computers, electronic products, means of transport, machines and equipment, as well as footwear, garments and construction materials.
