JUST OUT on the wires is confirmation of the SA involvement in the full-scale modernisation of Mumbai Airport in India. In a partnership with India’s GVK Industries are an SA contingent composed of Airports Company of SA (Acsa), Old Mutual Assett Managers, and the conglomerate with major freight interests, the Bidvest Group. With a 74% shareholding in the airport – and the Indian government holding onto the remaining 26% - the group has now been officially awarded the Mumbai Airport upgrade contract.
