Röhlig-Grindrod records 'dramatic' volume increases

RÖHLIG GRINDROD has recorded dramatic year-on-year volume increases on the US route, according to trade lane manager Paul Lötter – and that’s evident in sea and air imports and exports. “It’s an important market for us,” says Lotter, “which is why South African-trained staff hold strategic positions in the company’s US-based partner – Weiss Röhlig USA. “Their understanding of the specific requirements of South African companies trading with the American market strengthens our product and adds value to our customers.” Ex-MD of Röhlig Grindrod South Africa, Hylton Gray, is the president of Weiss-Röhlig USA. The US company uses seven airfreight hubs for import and export cargo, while oceanfreight services are offered to and from any destination in the US, says Lotter. “And that includes the movement of full container loads (FCL) as well as groupage containers.”
