A DURBAN Portnet man, Ivor Funnell, has been appointed Portnet's new c.e.o. replacing Neil Oosthuizen who resigned recently.

Dr Sipho Nyawo, executive director of Transnet with responsibility for Portnet, said that Funnell's sudden promotion over the heads of his previous bosses was a result of his experience for the position added to a necessary grasp of the new vision. Funnell was previously manager of the port's marketing division in Durban.
