Own offices give clients more flexibility

Having offices in Walvis Bay and staff who understand the needs of the local market enables Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) Namibia to offer a more flexible, tailored and personalised service to importers and exporters, according to branch manager, Waldi Schickerling. Walvis Bay is served by four dedicated vessels that offer importers and exporters global solutions via South African hubs, Ngqura and Cape Town, where there are dedicated berthing windows to connect globally. MSC handles container exports/ imports of both dry and reefer cargoes through Walvis Bay. “We have a very dynamic team that tries to make it as easy as possible to ship with MSC. “MSC Walvis Bay has excellent relationships with our customers, transporters and terminals and therefore can accommodate any special requests both by sea and land,” she says.
