Oil and gas logistics company rebrands

Oil and gas logistics business
Necotrans is rebranding
as Advanced Maritime
Transport (AMT).
This follows the takeover by
the Privinvest Group, a naval
shipbuilding group based in
the United Arab Emirates, of
Necotrans Switzerland and its
subsidiaries, including AMT.
The Paris Court of
Commerce in August
approved the takeover by
Privinvest which has decided
to brand the business –
including its agencies from
Kenya up to Ghana as well as
Getma Shipping Angola and
Ukuthutha, a BEE company
in South Africa – as AMT.
According to Nathalie
Jeanneau, Necotrans southern
Africa manager, AMT owns
and coordinates offices across
Africa with a hub in South
Africa as well as in the UK
and Singapore.
“Considering that AMT is
a strong brand for logistics
services, especially in the
oil and gas industry, the
rebranding of the Necotrans
agencies will be ongoing. We
will obviously inform the
market of when our change of
name (and e-mail addresses)
become effective,” she told
FTW.
She said the name change
would not affect service and
AMT would continue to
offer a one-stop-shop on a
24/7 basis to the oil and gas
industry and other sectors
through the diversification
process adopted over the past
five years.
The company’s diverse
service portfolio ranges from
freight forwarding and ship’s
agency to stevedoring, shore
handling, husbandry and oil
base terminal management
for example in Cameroon,”
she said. “The company is
trace compliant and holds the
necessary ISO accreditations.”
Its current focus is on
strengthening the sales
department while new offices
are on the cards for Shanghai
in China and Houston in the
US in 2018.
