NPA addresses skills development needs

RAY SMUTS THE NATIONAL Ports Authority, aware of the pressing need for port engineers and technicians, will sponsor a Chair in port and coastal engineering at the University of Stellenbosch’s department of civil engineering. The three-year sponsored course, renewable on a three-yearly basis, is aimed in the main at post-graduate students but also open to pre-graduates. It will be offered full-time and part-time to make it more accessible.
