Ngqura has emerged from
a windswept bare concrete
shell where whales calved to
the world’s fastest-growing
port in less than four years,
according to Drewry
Shipping Consultants.
Since the MSC Shanghai
docked at the port on
October 13, 2009, Transnet
has doubled the number
of berths in the port, and
will soon have doubled the
number of gantries.
