P&O NEDLLOYD has celebrated its first year in business with the naming of a new ship, the P&O Nedlloyd Africa.
The 2160 teu container vessel was launched and named earlier this month at the Flender shipyard in Lubeck Germany and heralds the delivery of a number of new vessels that will come into service this year.
The ship will replace a charter on the Far East - South America route.
Vessels to be delivered this year include four 6600 and five 2900 teu vessels.
