New project specialist invests R10m over six months

A serious attack on the market is being made by the newly established heavy haulage operation, OneLogix Projex – an autonomous company within the One Logic Group and a sister to RFB Logistics. The formation of the new company was a logical result of the One Logic buy-out, according to RFB MD and director of OneLogix Projex, Mark Snowball, who felt that a separate company targeting the projects sector was justified. “We have invested over R10 million in the past six months,” he told FTW, “acquiring a range of heavy haulage equipment to stock up OneLogix Projex with appropriate hardware.” This included eight International truck-tractors, two 65 tonne lowbed trailers, and an extendable Doll trailer with the capacity to carry equipment up to 24 metres in length and 45 tonnes in weight. The new company is also manned by an experienced staff and management team, Snowball added, with One Logic taking over the appropriate staff and management from the former Durban heavy haul major, Natro. “We have spent the past couple of months gearing up to get ready to meet the global recovery in trade, especially in the busy, bustling southern African region” he said. “This has put us into a good position to attack the projects market and pick up the growing volumes in the economic upturn.”
