LIEZL TAUTE is the new general manager Eastern Cape of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. With a background in the international trade division at a well-known merchant bank, Taute also has expertise in supply chain management. “I have worked for the international trade division of the biggest merchant bank in the country for the last four and a half years, dealing with supply chain management – from order to delivery to financing and treasury, connecting clients, suppliers, logistic service providers, financial service providers and back office systems. So my expertise is not limited to shipping, clearing and forwarding but encompasses the whole supply chain function and production logistics. “Our strategy in the Eastern Cape is to implement tailor-made solutions that focus on the needs of each individual customer because we have realised that there is not just one solution and answer to a problem. “In an industry where service is everything, we have the commitment of a strong and united operations team and an established global network in 134 countries,” she says. She is also upbeat about the new-look Hellmann organisation in the Eastern Cape. “We are on a drive to work with our clients and deliver solutions."
