DANGEROUS GOODS specialist EC Logistics has upgraded its dangerous goods database to include an additional easy calculation feature. “The new function enables the user to list a load of products of differing UN numbers, class, packing group and quantity. It will then calculate the load and determine whether full compliance with legislation is required for transportation,” says CEO Eddie Crane. “This is known as the load constraints calculation.” Launched in January this year, the database provides a search facility either by alphabetical name, UN number or hazard class, also listing the provisions or rules for transport of each hazardous substance.
