ROBERT VAN Rooyen has been appointed business unit executive to oversee Transnet Port Terminals, East London operations, following the retirement of Piet Klinkradt in November 2007. Van Rooyen, who holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, started his career with Anglo Platinum in Rustenburg as a financial manager. In September 2006 he joined South African Port Operations and most recently held the post of divisional financial manager at TPT head office.
