Following the success of

its shuttle service between

Isipingo and Durban

harbour introduced for

Toyota last year, Transnet

Freight Rail is set to bring

a second customer on

board in the new financial

year.

“The shuttle is working

well for Toyota, TFR and

the City of Durban,” sales

executive Maria Mzimela

told FTW. “For this

reason we are working

with other customers

to implement the same

solution beyond Isipingo

and the Durban harbour.

Although discussions

with other

OEMs and customers are

still at an early stage, our

target is to have a second

customer on board in the

new financial year.”
