Anew dedicated cabotage service serving the length of the 2 300 km Mozambican coastline is being introduced by a French partner of Manica Freight Services. “There is huge demand and we will be operating two vessels to start with,” says Faruque Assubuje, of Manica Freight Services. Changes in the law, which Manica has facilitated over the past two years, will enable the cabotage service to succeed where previous attempts have been shipwrecked, he says. The new service will be introduced this year and will run between five ports of Mozambique.
