Yesterday saw the official launch of the US$1-billion Beitbridge-Harare and Harare-Chirundu highway dualisation projects by Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe at a ground-breaking ceremony held along the highway at the Chaka business centre in Chirumhanzu.
Zimbabwe Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development, Joram Gumbo, said the project, which would be tackled in stages, was likely to be completed by 2020. The first phase with see dualisation of the Beitbridge-Harare Highway.
