Micor learner named top achiever

Dedication and hard work have paid off for a Micor employee who has been named the best achiever nationally in the National Certificate Freight Forwarding and Customs Clearing Level 3. Sonja Croucamp scored top marks with a year-end result of 94.92% followed closely by her colleague Desiree Sherrard who scored 91.32%. Ten Micor employees enrolled for the one-year course that is sanctioned by the Transport Education Training Authority (Teta). All learners who successfully completed the Level 3 certificate now qualify to enrol for the Freight Forwarding and Customs Clearing Level 4 course. According to Harold Botha, Micor HR executive, the company has applied for a learnership grant to Teta for Level 4 and has had a verbal approval. A learner who achieves both the Freight Forwarding and Customs Clearing Level 3 and 4 qualifies for the formal international Fiata diploma.
