Ndola-based Reload Logistics has opened one of the biggest warehouses in the region. The new 200 000sqm warehouse is the biggest purposebuilt facility in the Copperbelt, according to director Ruud Walgaard.

Features built into the warehouse operation are designed to help it stand out in the highly competitive Ndola market, he says.

“We offer a solid and cost-effective all-weather warehouse solution.”

Trucks are able to drive into the warehouse, which means that goods can be loaded and offloaded in all weather.

“This is particularly important during the rainy season as it avoids water damage,” he says.

It is Reload’s third warehouse since the company was established six years ago.

Walgaard attributes Reload Logistics’ growth during the current downturn to the fact that it is owner-run.

“We keep our costs to a minimum to survive in the tough times. “In addition, we understand the local market and our only aim is to meet our clients’ demands, and to be able to provide tailor-made solutions.

“If that means cooperating with our competition, we gladly do that.  Cooperation is key!” he says.
