The Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) has warned that, starting next month, there will be massive traffic disruptions on several of the city’s roads and highways, particularly the M1 and M2, as upgrades and expansion to bridges and roads get under way.
This includes the Oxford, Federation and double-decker bridges on the M1 and M2 and the Nelson Mandela, Booysens Road, Queen Elizabeth and Le Roux Avenue bridges.
In addition, R50 million has been allocated to the resurfacing of the M1, while R10 million will be spent on improvements to the M2.
