Putting transport matters
aside for a day, a CFR team led
by managing director Martin
Keck took time out to get into
the spirit of the company’s play
pump project, an initiative
which harnesses the energy of
school children on a merry-goround
to transfer water from a
borehole to a holding tank.
The fifth play pump was
installed at Mogopela Primary
School in the North West
recently, bringing running
water to a community in
need.
Not only are the 200
learners at the school now
able to access clean drinking
water, but the school has
grown a vegetable garden
using water from the play
pump. “It was very uplifting
to see how these projects we
sponsor are making a true
difference in the community
life of the rural population”
said Keck.
