Executives from China Cosco Shipping Ports and CMA Terminals Holding have just signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
This, according to trade press reports, is designed so that these port operating units of the two major shipping lines will be able to strengthen their strategic partnership in ports around the world.
And obviously preference will be given to port locations where vessels of the Ocean Alliance – whose members are China Cosco Shipping, Evergreen Line, CMA CGM, and OOCL (which is tipped to be taken over by CMA CGM) - will be calling.
