The Lynnwood Interchange on the N1 freeway in Pretoria is undergoing major improvements. Three new directional ramps have been built to improve traffic flow at the interchange. These new roads will be a major step in the improvement of the traffic capacity of the interchange, which are being revamped as part of The South African National Roads Agency Limited (Sanral) Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project (GFIP). A new free flow directional loop on-ramp has been built on the north-east side of the bridge over the N1 to provide access to the southbound carriageway of the freeway for traffic heading towards Johannesburg.
