Maiden call

The newly built NileDutch Breda, a 3 510-TEU capacity, self-geared ship pictured at the port of Durban last week on her introductory voyage to ports in China, SA, West Africa, South America and Europe. The vessel was named after Breda, a town founded in the twelfth century in the south of the Netherlands. In its modern-day role, Breda is an important logistics hub – located between the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp, and relatively close to Amsterdam and Brussels. The other three new NileDutch vessels, due to be completed later this year, will also be named after European cities. CAPTION NileDutch
