Maersk adds tenth 6600 teu vessel

MAERSK LINE has taken delivery of the Sine Maersk, the tenth in a series of large container vessels built at Odense Steel Shipyard.
The 6 600 TEU vessel is amongst the largest in the world, with a length of 347 metres, a width of 43 metres and a height from keel to deck of 24 metres.
Maersk predicts the vessel will cover a distance of
170 000 nautical miles a year, equal to 7,5 times around the globe.
