Logwin sets up in Kenya

Global logistics major Logwin has established its own national subsidiary in Kenya. The first office was opened in Nairobi in April this year, with a second to be established around 500 km away in Mombasa this month. Darren Brown, who has extensive experience in the African logistics market, is the country director of Logwin Air and Ocean Kenya, which offers a complete one-stop logistics service. In addition to managing air and ocean freight consignments, the company also specialises in cross-border transportation to the neighbouring East African countries, including the delivery of aid supplies. “A lot is happening in Kenya in terms of logistics infrastructure at the moment,” says Patrick Federle, managing director Africa, Logwin Air + Ocean. “Current projects include the modernisation of the port facilities in Mombasa and upgrading of the highway to Nairobi. As a logistics service provider we profit directly from this.”
