The logistics of ensuring that the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) event in Saudi Arabia went ahead last week was a carefully orchestrated affair, according to Saudi Airlines Cargo Company, which was tasked with the operation.
Saudia Cargo’s B747-8 transported the 100 tons of equipment and machinery along with sound and lighting systems and other supplies from Maastricht, Netherlands, to Riyadh in mid-October. The ‘Crown Jewel’ WWE tournament in Riyadh attracts millions of wrestling enthusiasts.
The airline operates a freighter fleet and passenger flights to various international destinations. It also offers charter services.
