READING THROUGH the September 21
issue of FTW, I noted the article on the Kenya
road traffic legislation in which Elmarie Breedt
was quoted.
Just to let you know that this amendment
to legislation is being challenged by the road
transporters and the high court has stopped
the authorities from introducing it.
Whilst we agree to legislate out the fouraxle
unit common to the Northern Corridor,
we do not agree with their requirements for
steering axles and the banning of lift axles.
There will obviously be more on this as we
go forward.
