Greater transparency is being introduced into Mozambican logistics chains, with LBH Mozambique investing in a cloud-based logistics system.“The Mozambique team has spent a busy year focusing on various initiatives to improve efficiencies and take advantage of the latest technology to manage shipments, with the full implementation of CargoWise at our headquarters in Maputo,” says Athol Emerton, managing director of LBH Mozambique and LBH South Africa.“We are scheduled to roll out the technology to our other eight branches throughout Mozambique, giving greater client transparency, tracking and related systems. The CargoWise system includes freight management, CRM, accounts, track and trace, workflow optimisation, warehouse management and customs management.“Despite tough economic conditions and the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, our dedicated and resilient staff at LBH Mozambique have put in maximum effort to ensure it’s ‘business as usual’ in shipping our clients’ commodities through the busy ports of Maputo, Beira and Nacala,” says Emerton.
